3/31/2020 and 4/1/2020 Distance Learning Day 1: Physical and Chemical Changes
I am posting the powerpoint that I went over yesterday. When I looked at my video that I recorded yesterday I sounded like Jabba the Hut talking over my presentation. I will rerecord over the presentation and will have it posted over the weekend.
We talked about Physical Vs. Chemical Changes and the work that you needed to get done with to finish checkpoint 2 for Who Am I.
If you haven't finished your infographic for What Makes up the Things I Love please make sure you do that too.
I am also posting the 3 videos that you need to complete checkpoint 2.

4/2/2020-4/3/2020 Distance Learning Day 2: Ionic and Covalent Compounds Part 1
Today we started talking about ionic and covalent compounds. We compared the 2 types of bonds and learned how to draw the Lewis dot structures for both types of bonds. You will find the notes that we covered in the powerpoint below.
Homework was to try to do something on checkpoint 3. We will be finishing up this checkpoint on Monday and Tuesday. I am attaching the videos for checkpoint 3 below. the 4th video will help the most with the bottom part of the checkpoint. If you haven't done checkpoint 2 for Who am I or finished your infographic please make sure you do this.

4/6/2020-4/10/2020 Distance Learning: Naming Compounds and PFA Review
We have been working through Checkpoint 3 together this week. The above videos will help you answer all of the questions in checkpoint 3. I am also attaching videos that I have made that will help with the bottom section of the checkpoint.
I will also be posting some PowerPoints that have questions to answer for each of the last 3 Focus Areas: Atomic Structure, Periodic Trends and Chemical Reactions. If you have a green diagnostic and can show me the answers to the questions from the PowerPoint then you can take the Focus Area.
